Anna Aparicio, Life Coach

Anna Aparicio is Ireland’s first NLP/NHR Specialist Coach and a Self-image & Confidence Expert.

She uses Neuro-linguistic Programming and Neuro-hypnotic Repatterning to help boost your confidence and motivation, lose weight, get rid of fears etc.

Since Anna’s humble beginnings in a small town in northern Spain, she has come a long way. An “A” student college dropout,  she overcame an eating disorder, survived bullying, got through redundancy and dodged bankrupcy. She went from being a shy and insecure girl to being a confident, charismatic and successful business woman who speaks five languages and has friends all over the world.

Because I am a Girl I ask… of women that they quit jealousy, envy and putting other women down, and instead spend their time and energy helping each other become better women.

Because I am a Girl I believe… that no matter where you come from or how hard you’ve had it in life, if you really desire a better life, you can have it, as long as you’re ready to do what’s necessary to get it.

Because I am a Girl I hope… future generations of women free themselves of social pressures and expectations and live their lives the way they really want to live. I still come across too many women who do things because they think they have to.

Because I am a Girl I wonder… what would happen if we all looked the same, had the same hair colour, were the same size and body shape… How boring! Revel in your uniqueness.

Because I am a Girl I dream… of the day when I can teach my own kids that you are not what you do, you are everything you can become at your very best.

Because I am a Girl I remember… my own mum telling me not to have kids, that it’s not worth all the work. When she had five herself! Depression can make people say things they don’t really mean.

Because I am a Girl I like… to stay in top physical and mental shape. I make sure I exercise three to four times a week as it makes me feel great and allows me to think more clearly and make better decisions in business and in life.

Because I am a Girl I dislike… when women talk men down or blame them for their problems. True freedom lies in taking responsibility for our own lives. Men may think differently to us, but there is a lot we can learn from them.

Because I am a Girl I feel… very strongly about girls getting a good education so they can become independent individuals who contribute to their communities, towns and countries.

Because I am a Girl I… want to tell you the worst thing a woman can do is feel sorry for herself. If you are not happy with your life, change it. You don’t tell young girls that they can change their life, you show them how. Walk the talk!

    Hey Anna

This is a really good blog. You have some interesting points about being yourself and don’t blame others (men) for the life you have. If you don’t like it, change it! Well said…

  • Because I am a Girl...

I have a much higher chance of making headline news - as a victim of rape, assault or murder. But because I am a girl I have the innate strength to carry on challenging the threats to my freedom.

  • Because I am a Girl...

I rise to the challenge, and do the unexpected. I raise my voice so that I can always be heard. I push myself even when the little voices in my head are saying, sure you dont belong here, who do you think you are. I struggle on and dont alllow society to to label or box me because of the sex I am, the colour of my skin, my sexuality, my spiritual beliefs. I am, and I will.
